Rural Finance Corporation joint stock company is a non-bank financial institution functioning on the financial market of the Republic of Moldova for already years. Created in 1997 by first savings and credit associations of citizens (SCAs) of Moldova as a central finance facility for their network, it represented one of the most successful interventions in country-s efforts to reduce poverty.
The main activity of Rural Finance Corporation is to ensure the access of small farmers and rural entrepreneurs to financial services in villages, covering a very specific niche of the financial market, represented by clients who previously had no access to financial markets due to lack of experience, small size of business and loans requested, lack of collateral, insecure character of investments in agriculture.
